Welcome to the Americana Theatre Company’s second season!
Plymouth’s premier professional summer theatre company is back to bring you the best stories the theatre has to offer. Last year marked our very successful inaugural season and we are happy to say we are expanding for year two. We have taken up our summer residency at the eighty five-seat Kendall hall inside the First Parish of Plymouth, the stunning centerpiece to the historic downtown and previous church home to the Plymouth Bay Colony Pilgrims. We aim to serve you through great presentations that will thrill, entertain, make you laugh and even shed a tear. Thank you for making ATC your summer theatre home.
We have three exciting offerings in the works for you this season during the months of June and July. Our centerpiece production is one that the New York Times has labeled as “the absurdly enjoyable, gleefully theatrical riff on Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film.” THE 39 STEPS is a laugh a minute, roller coaster ride of a murder mystery that you won’t want to miss. We are going to add a week of performances during our July run so that you and your whole family will have a chance to see what the buzz is all about. Our touring production is the evocative drama REDEEMING LOVE. Adapted from Francine River’s best-selling novel, REDEEMING LOVE is an adaptation of Hosea and Gomer’s story from the bible set against the backdrop of the California Gold rush.
Thank you for making ATC your summer theatre home. We promise to bring you stories that entertain and stories that matter.
See you at the theatre!
